Is it just me or do they look like they dropped a ton of acid before shooting this?

Sorry to barge in here. But I can't be bothered to write a mail.
Suggestions:
1. On your "Previous number ones" page combine sequential days which had the same vid at number one. Having a long list with the same video is pointless.
2. Perhaps give an option to filter the videos so, for example, it's possible to see a list of video's coming from YouTube only.
Regards.

Barge away. I agree about the 'previous number ones' page. The reason we haven't combined sequential days with the same number one is because the dates themselves are also ways into the whole chart for that day. Which is to say that the the navigational experience around archived content is pretty bad at the moment and something we will be improving shortly.
I'm intererested in the source filtering idea. Why do you want to do that? Are you wanting to filter out videos from, say, MySpace? Or to filter in videos from just YouTube? If you wanted to see the top videos from just one site, why wouldn't you just go directly to the site itself?

Good to hear you don't mind some argy-bargy and its nice to see you replying personally. I like the personal touch.
About point 1 - yeah, it's important to have archive searching/browsing/listing optimised for the user. I look forward to any improvements.
Anyway, about point 2.
I use this site as my 'video aggregator'. So going to the original sites defeats the point of me visiting here. Its quick, painless and easy to see some top rated movies here and I like the clean, no frills feel.
For example, as YouTube dominates the lists, I would like to filter YouTube out and just see the others. Heh, just some simple list maniplation would suit me.
Regards.

Thanks for adding more detail. That makes sense and is very helpful. Some days YouTube just drowns everything else out. We'll gradually be adding more video sites to those that we track, too.
The site will be getting a bit of a design makeover next week. I'll post some work in progress so we can see what you and other people think. I'm actually a bit nervous about this (I'm not the designer) because quite a few people have said they like the undesigned feel that's up now. I did un-design this ;)
