We just launched new size video players on Wildfire.
425 pixels wide - more or less standard size video player
400 pixels wide - more or less standard size video player, but this one doesn't get the edge clipped on the default Blogger template
300 pixels wide - to fit into wider blog side bars
I've embedded the smallest of these below.
Check out the new 'Share this video' link at the bottom left of the player.
We like. This is a very nice stop motion clip, using long camera exposures to create groovy light effects, including some excellent light sabre action. It was created by Lichtfaktor for Sky Movies, who are using it to promote the Star Trek V Star Wars season on Sky Movies. (They're running the entire 6 Star Wars films back to back in release order. Almost makes me want to abandon my Humax Freeview). Music's by The Green Man / Basswerkto.
Must do a stop motion round up some time. This is my all time favourite.
I'm in two minds about this one. The underlying campaign is strong. There's a personalizable video at the Pepsi site that works surprisingly well. Getting your mate's photo to appear on this girl's iPhone (and their name tattooed on her flesh) is a neat trick and actually pretty disconcerting. Worth the effort and genuinely viral as there's only any value in doing it if you send it to someone.
Unfortunately, this teaser doesn't hint at the underlying campaign, instead falling back on the false promise of more flesh to get you to the Pepsi site.
This is the latest viral video campaign, Wirebreakers, from Motorola to promote their new wireless stereo headphones, the MOTOROKR S9.
The videos show a fictional dance crew, The Wirebreakers, encouraging members of the public to join them in random dancing in public places like the golf course, above.
Variously described as a prime example of Third Wave Feminism, the sexiest girl band on the planet and the worst commercial campaign ever, our favourite response to this piece is "+5 stars for an accurate rendition of the internal anatomy of the human cerebelum".
New chart! Now you can see the top twenty most buzzed about movie clips on the Viral Video Chart. 300 has more buzz than the rest of the movies put together at the moment!
